Sustainability in road haulage has historically failed when treated as an add‑on—delivered through isolated initiatives, pilot projects, or future commitments that sit alongside existing operations. We chose a different approach.
As the UK’s largest bio‑LNG producer, we have redesigned our business so sustainability is embedded end‑to‑end: from the agricultural waste that feeds our anaerobic digestion plants, through fuel production and nationwide distribution, to the vehicles that consume that fuel on UK roads every day. The result is an integrated model where environmental benefit is not a target, but a direct outcome of how our business operates.
Our sustainability begins at source. We produce bio‑LNG exclusively from agricultural waste residues, converting unavoidable by‑products of food production into renewable transport fuel. These residues exist regardless of energy demand and would otherwise release greenhouse gases through decomposition. By capturing this waste and upgrading it into fuel, we reduce emissions at source while avoiding any reliance on purpose‑grown energy crops or land‑use compromise. This ensures sustainability is inherent in the product itself, rather than applied retrospectively through offsets or accounting mechanisms.
Crucially, we do not stop at fuel production. All of our bio‑LNG isdelivered using bio‑LNG‑powered vehicles operated by our own fleet across the UK. This closed‑loop approach ensures we actively use the fuel we produce, validating its performance, reliability, and environmental benefit under live commercial conditions every day. Sustainability within our business is therefore measured in real‑world miles and tonnes moved, not theoretical potential.
