Carbon Negative. Industry Positive.

We're the largest vertically integrated biogas producers in Europe, producing 125 million/m3 of biogas per year.

Pretoria Energy.

Born to Innovate.

At the forefront of innovation, we produce green, bio-genic CO2 and Bio‑LNG using 100% renewable methods – making our industrial gases carbon negative. Our sustainable solutions help businesses reduce emissions while boosting performance. Join us in leading the transition to cleaner energy – because the future of industry is green.

What we do

Bio-CO2

Food and beverage grade Liquid Bio-CO2

Unlike traditional CO2 sourced from industrial combustion or chemical by-products, biogenic CO2 comes from renewable sources — like plant-based matter — and is part of the natural carbon cycle. It’s considered carbon-neutral, and in our case, even carbon-negative, because we capture more CO2 than we emit.

Bio-LNG

Powering greener future with UK produced Bio‑LNG
Manufactured on-site through a controlled anaerobic digestion (AD) process, our Bio‑LNG is 100% biogenic, refined from crop‑fed biogas into a high‑purity, low-carbon fuel. This closed-loop, linear production model ensures consistent quality, full traceability, and true energy independence — all while capturing carbon and reducing environmental impact.

Arable

Managing over 28,000 acres annually
We specialise in the sustainable production and procurement of feedstock crops and cash crops – including maize, sugar beet, triticale, grass, Wheat and straw – for sale and use in our anaerobic digestion (AD) plants.

Anaerobic Digestion

Largest biogas producers in Europe

Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is a natural biological process in which microorganisms break down organic material in oxygen-free conditions. Our advanced AD systems are highly efficient and adaptable to multiple feedstock types — all locally farmed and sourced.

Our Mission

With over 15 years of experience, Pretoria Energy manages over 28,000 acres annually and has built long-standing partnerships with farmers across the East of England. We aim to operate within a 50‑mile radius of our sites in Cambridgeshire.
